The Producers

Many of the foods featured in tonight’s dinner come from the Pontiac, some others come from farms just across the river in the Ottawa area. Others still, come from a little further afield in Ontario and Québec. The citrus fruit, spices and olive oil come from far flung places.

Table Settings and Decorations are by Just B Designs, right here in Pontiac. Anne Bursey is the creative talent behind this collection of colourful fashion accessories and home décor products. She works in cotton and wool fabrics, frequently incorporating recycled sweaters and vintage or imported textiles to create her unique style.  Visit her web site to see more “cozy chic” products and learn about her sewing workshops.

Moylinney Farm operated by Dave and Stephanie Reford is located on the outskirts of Aylmer at the foot of the Eardley escarpment. The Refords produce completely pasture raised Hereford cattle of outstanding quality. Freezer orders are available in late fall, but book early! Visit the web site at

Songberry Organic Farm in Bristol is owned and operated by Rob and Julie Wallbridge. They grow over 200 varieties of more than 20 different types of certified organic fruit and vegetables. Learn more by visiting their website at or find them on Facebook and Twitter

Hillside Green Garden Centre operated by Gilles and Christine Marcotte is now in its third season of growing greenhouse, tomatoes, cucumber and peppers. New this year are lettuces and field crops. The garden centre, located just west of Quyon also has home grown flowers of all kinds.

Other local producers are Cedar Creek Trout Farm in the Shawville area, La Cigale Ice Cream in Chelsea and Potagerie Eardley on the border of Aylmer and Luskville.
